Dr. Julie Koch is Head of the School of Community Health Sciences, Counseling and Counseling Psychology at Oklahoma State University. She is a Licensed Health Service Psychologist in the state of Oklahoma and has a small private practice focusing on work with rural transgender clients. Dr. Koch is an American Psychological Association representative to the International Psychology Network for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex Issues (IPsy Net). Dr. Koch has received numerous awards for teaching and mentoring, including the Oklahoma State University Regents Distinguished Teaching Award, the Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award, the Outstanding Graduate Coordinator Award, and the Early Career Professional Supervisor/Trainer Award. She received a Presidential Citation from the American Psychological Association in 2014 for “dedication to the professional development and training of psychologists.” Dr. Koch co-edited Voices from the Field: Defining Moments in Counselor and Therapist Development (Trotter-Mathison, Koch, Sanger, & Skovholt, 2010).
