Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Acting under this authority, the present work has been prepared. The peculiar taste of no particular person or locality has been consulted in the omissions, abridgments, and additions, but the wants of the entire Connection. The arrangement in the standard Hymn book, and the Hymn and Tune-book, has been preserved, as well as the most common hymns and tunes in those works, so that it can be used in connection with them. The compiler of the tunes found it expedi ent to change the order of some of the hymns in particular sections, in accommodation to the tunes to which they may be sung.
