Marcel P. Timmer is Professor of Economic Growth and Development and Director of the Groningen Growth and Development Centre (GGDC) at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He has published more than thirty articles in international journals, and is the lead author of the book Economic Growth in Europe (Cambridge, 2010).
