About the author

AILEEN IONESCU-SOMERS is Deputy Director of the Forum for Corporate Sustainability Management at IMD business school in Switzerland. Previously she held various conservation programme management roles with WWF International. She is an expert in corporate sustainability, co-ordinates large scale research projects and facilitates discussion between industry participants and stakeholders on corporate sustainability management issues. Her recent Ph D dissertation concerned the business case for sustainability in the food and beverage sector.

ULRICH STEGER is a leading authority in the area of corporate sustainability management. He holds the Alcan Chair of Environment Management at IMD, Switzerland, and at IMD, he directs the Forum for Corporate Sustainability Management, the Global Corporate Governance Research initiative, and some major partnership programmes (such as for Daimler Chrysler and Allianz). He is also Professor of International Management at the Technische Universität, Berlin, Germany.
