The International North Pacific Symposium on Invertebrate Stock Assessment and Management was held on March 6-10, 1995 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. Emphasis was on temperate, benthic species and the Symposium focused on new, innovative evaluation of the implications and needs for changing management approaches and demands in invertebrate fishery science. Presentations at the Symposium were structured around the following six sessions: estimation of abundance within the specified areas spatial distribution of abundance and implications dynamics of harvested stocks and ecosystems population modeling and parameter estimation invertebrate fisheries management decision making in invertebrate fisheries management.
