Alaya Dawn Johnson is the author of seven novels, including the National Book Award longlisted The Summer Prince and the Norton Award winner Love is the Drug. She received the Nebula award for her story “A Guide to the Fruits of Hawai’i, ” and has been a finalist or shortlisted for the Nebula, Sturgeon, and Carl Brandon awards. She lives in Mexico City.
