About the author

Ambrose Mc Guine (rhymes with ‘wine’) is in fact David and Valerie Atkinson, a husband
and wife writing team. Both graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design
and worked in the St. Paul Public Schools.
Snowplow Polka was inspired by the many colorful characters and welcoming locales they have encountered in northwest Wisconsin on umpteen trips to visit relatives and friends.
They are now retired and reside in the Twin Cities, where they find the snow plowing services to be, for the most part, acceptable.
