Andrew Scott, writing under the pen name, Andrew Murray Scott, is the author of five novels; Tumulus, winner of the first Dundee International Book Prize in 2000; acclaimed by reviewers as a “tour-de-force”, Estuary Blue (2001), The Mushroom Club (2007), The Big J (2008), In A Dead Man”s Jacket (2016) and a collection of poetry, Dancing Underwater (2009). Former journalist, creative writing tutor and parliamentary press officer, Andrew is the author of ten non-fiction books including biographies of Alexander Trocchi (“excellent” Colin Wilson, Literary Review), and of John Graham of Claverhouse, both subsequently reprinted, and he lives in Broughty Ferry on the sunny east coast of Scotland.
