Raised in Georgia, Ann Wright attended public school in La Grange and college at what is now known as Georgia College. Her studies concentrated on mathematics and English, but literature was a great love of hers. She started writing poetry when she was a child, sometimes set to music written by others. Ann is an avid reader and particularly loves reading poetry, including the classics, romantics and contemporary poetry.
She worked for years in the airline and construction industries, focusing on computer, audit and financial processing. Her jobs were always high profile, stressful, and time consuming. Ann wrote prose and poetry intermittently during her career. However, her jobs required producing documents that were accurate, insightful and tactful, as well as readable by both management and technical personnel.
Ann has lived in Peachtree City, Georgia, for more than forty years. She has taken an active interest in the local library, participating in numerous activities. She participates in a local writers group and the Georgia Writers Association. She earned an honorable mention and publication of a poem in a local writing contest. Widely traveled, Ann has visited all seven continents and many foreign countries.
Now retired, Ann writes full time, mainly poetry. She recently published her first volume of poetry entitled Quest for Faith available through Iuniverse and selected book stores. This book, The Man, continues her efforts to understand her faith and herself. She also writes essays and is working on a novel. Ann invites the reader to share her thoughts concerning the life and teachings of Jesus.
