Bettina Bergo is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Montreal. Her many publications include Levinas Between Ethics and Politics (2003), “I Don”t See Color”: Personal and Critical Perspectives on White Privilege (co-edited with Tracy Nicholls, 2015), Nietzsche and Levinas: “After the Death of a Certain God” (co-edited with Jill Stauffer, 2008), and The Trauma Controversy: Philosophical and Interdisciplinary Dialogues (co-edited with Kristen Brown Golden, 2009). She is the translator of many works of European philosophy, including Didier Franck”s Nietzsche and the Shadow of God (2012), Jean-Luc Nancy”s Dis-Enclosure (2008), and Emmanuel Levinas”s On Escape (2003).
