About the author

Anne R. Hughes works diligently at whatever she does. Life has thrown her several curve balls, but she perseveres.
Anne received a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in English from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1966, and finished her Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Georgia in 1978. She loves children and was a long time Sunday School teacher at her church.
Anne was accidentally shot in 1977 which resulted in partial paralysis below the waist. Since her paralysis, Anne became 1st Runner Up and Miss Congeniality in the Miss Wheelchair Georgia Pageant, she was named Handicapped Woman of the Year by the Pilot Club of Georgia, and she raised her son Matt Hughes who has provided illustrations for many of her books.
Anne is the author of “When Robins Chew Snuff”, “When Geese Circle the Moon”, “Somebody Extraordinary Out There”, and “The Mystery of the Shrine Beneath”.
