About the author

​Anthony Burke is Professor of International and Political studies at UNSW Australia.
His books include Ethics and Global Security: A Cosmopolitan Approach (with Katrina Lee Koo and Matt Mc Donald), Beyond Security, Ethics and Violence: War Against the Other, and as co-editor (with Jonna Nyman), Ethical Security Studies: A New Research Agenda.


Rita Parker is a Visiting Fellow at the UNSW Canberra and former senior policy advisor to Australian Federal and State governments. She specializes in transnational challenges to security and resilience, and her work has been published in Australia, Germany, Malaysia,  Singapore, and the United States.
