Dr. Angela Rinn ist Professorin für Seelsorge am Theologischen Seminar in Herborn und Privatdozentin für Praktische Theologie an der Universität Heidelberg. Sie war 25 Jahre lang Gemeindepfarrerin in Mainz, in der Notfallseelsorge und als ehrenamtliche Feuerwehrpfarrerin von Mainz tätig.
Sie ist Autorin von Rundfunkandachten in SWR 2 und Kolumnistin in der Evangelischen Sonntags-Zeitung und Online-Kolumnistin in zeitzeichen, bis 2017 in Christ&Welt in DIE ZEIT. Sie ist Autorin von Kriminalromanen (unter dem Pseudonym Vera Bleibtreu) und Mitglied der Jury für den Deutschen Predigtpreis.
