A CT scan, also known as computed tomography scan, makes use of computer-processed combinationsof many X-ray measurements taken from different angles to produce cross-sectional (tomographic)images of specific areas of a scanned object, allowing the user to see inside the object without cutting.The subject-matter of this book has been presented in a simple manner and each chapter containsvariety of illustrations and photographs to explain the relevant concepts. Latest developments in thefield have been duly incorporated in the respective chapters. The book has been compiled to provide asequential knowledge of the said subject and is prepared by consulting several standard journals ofrelated field. No doubt the book would serve greatly to scientists and engineers.Till now no such type ofbook has been published. It is hoped that this book is sufficiently comprehensive to guide scientists andengineers. Main aim of this book is to provide a mature approach to basic principles of this field.
