Dr Ankur Khajuria, BSc (Hons) MBBS (Dist.) FHEA FRSPH MRCS (Eng) MAcad MEd. MFSTEd. MSc (Oxon.) Ph D, is a Kellogg Scholar and a research supervisor at the University of Oxford, UK. He ranked 1st in the UK Plastic Surgery National Selection and received an Academic Clinic Fellowship offer from the University of Cambridge. He has 100+ publications, in major journals, including the Lancet, with press coverage in major international news outlets. He has 100+ presentations across 3 continents, 1500+ citations, £200, 000+ in grant funding/scholarships/prizes, 1 paperback textbook as lead author and editor, and 50+ academic prizes, including from the American and British Societies of Plastic Surgery. He is an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of a patented device in microsurgery. He is also the Founder of High Yield UK, an international organization providing research training and mentoring for residency applicants globally, and has been invited as a guest speaker at Imperial College London (alongside Sir David Nott OBE) and Oxford University. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and member of the Academy of Medical Educators.
He graduated 2nd place in medicine from Imperial College London University, UK with multiple distinctions/prizes and First-Class Honours with Pereira Prize for best overall performance for his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Surgery. Winning a competitive research scholarship and a Royal College of Surgeons of England Grant, he conducted prize-winning research in Tokyo, Japan investigating cancer stem cell – host cell interactions both in vitro and in vivo, winning the prestigious UK SARS Prize at Cambridge University. He undertook the Plastic Surgery Sub-Internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, funded by the Royal College of Surgeons. He was selected on the highly competitive NIHR-funded Academic Surgery programme at Imperial College London, UK where he went on to receive an Academic Clinic Fellowship offer from Cambridge University and Kellogg Scholarship from Oxford University.
Professor Joon Pio Hong, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. is Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine and Asan Medical Center. He has board certification in Trauma, Hand and Plastic surgery. He is also an adjunct professor to Georgetown University USA and St Paul University Ethiopia. He received his BS degree from the Yonsei University of College of Medicine and his MS degree in medicine and Ph D degree from the Graduate School of Yonsei University. He received his M.B.A. on medical management from University of Southern California at Marshall School of Business. He is active member is number of professional associations such as American society of plastic surgery, Korean society of Plastic surgery and currently serves as Secretary General for WSRM (World society of Reconstructive Microsurgery). His major work has been research and clinical practice in wound healing, diabetic foot & lower extremity reconstruction and supermicrosurgery. He is the Editor-in-Chief for Archives of Plastic Surgery and serves on the editorial board for numerous journals including Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, International Wound Journal, Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Journal of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery and more. He has been invited over 80 countries to present his work and is visiting professor for more than 60 institutions. He has over 200 publications in this field of practice with 24 book chapters including the Neligan Plastic surgery. He was awarded the “Godina Travelling Fellowship” from the 2015 American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, “Al Fred W. Farmer Lectureship” 2016 from the Canadian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, “Acta Scandinavia Lectureship” 2018 from the Scandinavian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the “Maliniac Lectureship” 2020 from the American Society of Plastic Surgery.

Professor Peter Neligan, MB, FACS, FRCSI, FRCSC is a University of Washington (UW) Professor Emeritus of Surgery and former Director of the Center for Reconstructive Surgery at UW Medical Center, as well as an acknowledged expert in the field of reconstructive microsurgery. Dr. Neligan served as chair of the division of plastic surgery at the University of Toronto from 1996 to 2007 and was appointed Wharton Chair in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at that institution. He was recruited to the University of Washington in 2007 to establish the Center for Reconstructive Surgery. Professor Neligan has Edited 15 books, over 100 book chapters and over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers. He is the series editor of the third edition of the 6-volume book set, Plastic Surgery, which has been the standard text for Plastic Surgery Training Programs around the world.He has made over 200 presentations at national and international meetings as well as delivering numerous invited lectures. He has served as Visiting Professor or Invited Lecturer to over 400 institutions and societies around the world. He is past Editor of the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Past-President of the Plastic Surgery Foundation, the North American Skull Base Society and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery.
