Bryan lives in Yaxley, Cambridgeshire, with his wife, Colleen, and their German shepherd, Gemma. His early years were spent in farming before moving to the city to carve out a new career in electronic engineering. He established a family-run business in 1984, manufacturing printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies. In 1999, he designed and manufactured beauty equipment that required international travel. He spent many years attending trade shows and exhibitions around the USA, Asia, and Europe. Now semi-retired, he divides his time between their huge country garden and their home in Auburn, California. When his daughters were young, he told them stories about a derelict tugboat called the Nene Queen. He can personally relate with the characters and events in this story as its characteristic of the rural area he grew up in. Justin and Chloe’s relationship and interaction with their family and friends is typical of his time on a farm, and that is reflected in the storyline. Although passionate about writing a book when he retired, it was his wife, Colleen, who inspired him to write this story to share with others.
