The author then moves on and effectively disposes of a number of economic myths using empirical evidence that is often ignored by commentators.

Christopher Snowdon is the Director of Lifestyle Economics at the IEA. He is the author of The Art of Suppression, The Spirit Level Delusion and Velvet Glove, Iron Fist.
