This is a picture book about a traditional Chinese idiom story. This book is part of the Chinese Classic Traditional Story Anime Series. Through a combination of illustrations and text, this book presents the story of Ji Shengzi training gamecocks as depicted in Chuang-tzu A* Outer Chapters A* Attaining Life. Ji Shengzi was an expert in training gamecocks during the Spring and Autumn period. He was asked by the King of Qi to train his cocks. After many days, the King of Qi grew impatient, but Ji Shengzi shook his head, indicating that the cocks were not yet ready. Ji Shengzi aimed to train the cocks to be composed and calm, unmoving and silent like wooden sculptures. The King of Qi entered the competition with these composed cocks, winning every time. The book also includes a QR code that provides cartoons of the complete story behind the idiom "Dumbstruck Like a Wooden Chicken".
