Dr. Claudia Carr has decades of experience in research concerning development and conservation in relation to rural livelihoods systems and river basins in eastern Africa and the Horn region, as well as consulting with African governments, international aid organizations and non-governmental organizations. She is Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where she teaches courses in international rural development policy, international aid, extractive industries and indigenous peoples and resource policy.
