Umida has always been different. Born under a fiery sky, her fiery red hair and freckles set her apart from the people in her clan. Now, she’s set apart in a new way.
One day, unthinkable tragedy strikes Umida’s clan. She alone is left to care for the survivor: a baby bear who is badly in need of a mother. When Umida discovers that the bear she loves like a son will be sacrificed by her people, she must find a way to save him.
