This is an autobiography of my life, in which I have shared different segments of time in order to reach out to those that may relate to my experiences. The idea of this book was heavy on my heart for a few years, due to the continued reports of sexual abuse that has been broadcast around our country. The reality that the total number of registered sex offenders in this nation has increased to staggering numbers, beckons for someone to try something to reverse this frightening trend. It is clear that a cycle of perversion has swept our country from generation to generation, harming many innocent victims along the way. It is my goal to create a tool that the Holy Spirit of God can use to change the wicked hearts of those caught in this cycle of perversion.
My focus through this book is to share how I was freed from the bondages of sexual immorality. This book describes to the reader how the Lord Jesus worked in my heart and life. Using the wisdom of His Word to re-direct the choices I made on a daily basis. I was changed both mentally and spiritually and I have complete faith that the Lord can too change others overtaken in sexual immorality. This change is laid out in detail in hopes that those affected will learn from my mistakes in order to deter them from making the same mistakes.
عن المؤلف
The author of this book experienced firsthand the trauma of being a victim of sexual abuse. He was sexually molested as a child, leading him to behavioral problems as a way to cry out for help that never came. Then as an adult he experienced the humiliation of becoming a victimizer himself. This landed him in jail, where he eventually lost everything. He spent 14 years as a registered sex offender. This brought on much humiliation to not only himself, but to his loved one’s as well. He credits the counsel he received in God’s Word as the source that gave him the strength to press on…
The grace of God was clearly present in the life of this author. He was able to reunite with his family and restore his relationship with everyone that knew him. He later was completely deleted from the sex offender registry as ordered by the courts. He could have kept his past behind him by simply remaining silent. Instead he chose to expose himself in order to warn others about the effects of sexual abuse and to share how Christ can reverse those effects. His purpose for this book is to reach out to those that are dealing with these effects and now find themselves on the sex offender’s registry.
This author concedes that he has no “professional” training in dealing with sex offenders. His only experience is firsthand knowledge of what helped him overcome both his past and personal struggles. The strength to overcome his past came through the freedom found in Christ. To truly experience the freedom in Christ we must come to the place where we rely on Him for everything. Where we know when everything is falling down around us the strength of Christ will see us through.
