For this assignment, the students in my English classes were lead through an exploration of the narrative writing process as they crafted scary stories in honor of Halloween. The assignment took many weeks as students completed each part of their stories. After a period of peer response and refinement, the stories were edited for basic grammar and punctuation by the students.
