Li Bai (701-762), styled Taibai, and known as the Hermit of Qinglian, was a great romantic poet of the Tang Dynasty, posthumously honored as the "Immortal Poet." Du Fu (712-770), styled Zimei, and known as the Old Man of Shaoling, was a great realist poet of the Tang Dynasty, known as the "Sage of Poetry."
