Georges Sorel
Reflections on Violence (Barnes & Noble Digital Library) [EPUB ebook]

الدعم

In this infamous work, Sorel fiercely advocates for violent revolution as the only means of effecting lasting social change. He details such factors as the role of violence and force in revolutionary movements; the use of insurrection and general strikes; and mythmaking as a key in spurring on and sustaining revolutions. A major influence on Benito Mussolini, the book is still considered controversial and provocative more than 100 years after its publication.

Georges Sorel (1847–1922) was a French Socialist. He retired from civil service engineering in 1892 to dedicate himself to his philosophical studies. He became a Marxist in 1893, and later, a disciple of revolutionary syndicalism. His theory of the power of myth and violence in political rebellion was set forth in Reflections on Violence (1908), his most influential work.
