James Raquepau was born and raised in Michigan. He was educated at Eastern Michigan University, where he obtained a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and now lives in the northwest. While supporting himself and his family by day in the high technology industry, James has concentrated his writing efforts on the Fantasy-Adventure genre. His focus has been on using semi-historical settings that are steeped in mythology to weave tales rich in magic and lore. Drawing on his earlier years of study in mysticism, James likes to create a strong sense of magic in his works. He is currently working on a sequel to his first published novel, titled Lia Dán – Shape of Destiny.
