Introduction to Oxymel
Oxymel is a traditional medicinal preparation made from a mixture of honey and vinegar. The name ‘oxymel’ comes from the Greek and literally translates as ‘sour honey’. The preparation is made by mixing honey and vinegar in a ratio of 2:1, using the vinegar as an acidic ingredient.
