Verena Roßbacher, geb. 1979 in Bludenz und aufgewachsen in Österreich und der Schweiz, studierte einige Semester Philosophie, Germanistik und Theologie in Zürich, dann am Deutschen Literaturinstitut in Leipzig. Von ihr erschienen u. a. die Romane Verlangen nach Drachen, Schwätzen und Schlachten sowie Ich war Diener im Hause Hobbs. 2022 wurde sie für Mon Chéri und unsere demolierten Seelen mit dem Österreichischen Buchpreis ausgezeichnet.
