Frank W. Stahnisch is an Associate Professor with joint appointments in the Department of Community Health Sciences and Department of History at the University of Calgary, where he also holds the AMF/Hannah Professorship in the History of Medicine and Health Care in the Cumming School of Medicine.Aleksandra Lowenau is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the History of Neuroscience and Psychiatry at the University of Calgary”s Cumming School of Medicine. She holds a PhD in the History of Medicine from Oxford Brookes University, where she worked previously as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant. Her research interests are in Holocaust, migration, war, European, and gender studies, the history of medicine, medical crimes, and postwar trials of war criminals.Kelsey Lucyk is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Community Health at the University of Calgary. She is a student in population and public health and an Alberta Innovates—Health Solutions graduate trainee. She is particularly interested in the history of the social determinants of health in Canada.
