Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Acclaimed globally for his scientific research work on systematically optimized drug delivery and pharmacokinetic modeling, Dr. Bhupinder Singh (Bhoop) has contributed 3 decades of dedicated service towards scientific research and education. Obtaining his entire pharmaceutical education, i.e., B. Pharm., M. Pharm., Ph.D. and D. St. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, he is currently a Professor of Pharmaceutics & Biopharma-ceutics at the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Besides, he is also Honorary Coordinator for the UGC Centre of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has earned to his credit over 180 publications in peer-reviewed journals including 4 books, 1 directory and 23 book chapters. He has handled over a dozen research projects and guided/guiding 25 Ph.D.’s, two post-doctorates and over 50 M. Pharm scholars. A widely travelled scientist, he has shared his experience and expertise at several prestigious professional forums by delivering over 190 keynote, plenary and invited talks in India, USA, Canada, China, and beyond. His work has fetched several awards & accolades like, Leading Educators of World (UK) 2007, Pharma Buzz Pharma Personality Award 2008, Shiksha Rattan Award 2008, Founder Coordinator of Student Research Convention by Association of Indian Universities 2008, India Excellence Inscribed Medal by American Biographic Inst (USA) 2009, DST-PURSE Award for Excellence in University Research 2010, International Peace Prize (USA) 2010, Innovative Scientist Award by CIIPP 2012, Pharma Qb D Excellence Award 2012 by CPh I conferences and Pu TA Achievement Award 2013. American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), USA selected one of his drug delivery research for the coveted Qb D & Product Performance Award 2012. On industrial fronts, Dr. Singh has 4 patents and key involvement in tech. transfers of two nano-based drug delivery products. Hundreds of industrial scientists have been duly trained under his guidance in India and beyondhd. He is on Editorial Board of over 30 journals and reviewer of over 60 renowned peer-reviewed journals of high impact. Since 2011, he has also been serving as the Founder Coordinator of UGC Centre for Excellence in Biomedical Applications of Nanoparticles. Based on his exemplary accomplishments in Science, Education, Society and Pharma Profession, Mr. Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India has nominated Prof Bhoop to the highest temporal body, Senate of Panjab University, as its Fellow.
