Young love, old grudges, and a madcap insurance scheme collide in this charming British comedy by the author of the Jeeves & Wooster novels. John Carroll doesn’t have a shot at marrying the lovely lady Pat Wyvern, not while his Uncle Lester, the Squire of Rudge Hall, is feuding with Pat’s father. Meanwhile, John’s cousin Hugo might have a chance to open a nightclub, if only the miserly Lester would lend him the money.
