Qijun Han is an Assistant Professor in the School of Foreign Studies at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China, and received her doctorate in Media and Cultural Studies from Utrecht University, Netherlands, in 2014. Her research interests lie in the intersections of history, culture, and identity in the Chinese context. Currently she leads two research projects: one is on the social reception of foreign films shown in China from 1897 to 1935 (funded by the Start-Up Research Grant for Young Scientists program), and another is on the historical phenomenon of “Griffith Fever” in China during the 1920s and 1930s (supported by the Chinese central government).
