Rafael Cubarsi is a mathematician and physicist, and conducted PhD research on Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Barcelona. His current research focuses on the fields of galactic dynamics, biotechnology and music, and he has more than 60 published papers in peer-reviewed journals to his credit. He is currently Professor of Applied Mathematics in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), and a member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
