This book examines ‘eternal colonialism, ‘ a term used to describe the policies that were designed by the Western world and the United States in order to keep most of the world in a permanently subordinate political, economic, social, and military state. Eternal colonialism is a combination of both internal and external colonialism, or neocolonialism. Benjamin and Hall argue that the colonialism beginning in the fifteenth century never ended, but rather developed different forms over time.
