This story took place in 1958 in Sand Mountain, Alabama, which was Raccoon Mountain as the locals called it. As it was such a compelling and inspirational story to be told, this story was written many years later on June 16 through 30 of 2010 in Fort Payne, Alabama.

Thomas Stewart was born in 1954 and grew up in the Birmingham area in the Minor Heights community that is located near all the steel mills. He attended local school systems in Jefferson County. Thomas took an active part in the Boy Scout program and received the high rank of Life Scout and received the honorable God and Country Award. After his high school education, his employment service started at American Cast Iron Pipe Company with thirty-two years of service with retirement. During his working years, he raised his two children, Brandi and Brandon. His first marriage ended with his deceased wife, Michele, who died at an early age.
Thomas Stewart remarried after a short time to Tammy, who had a daughter named Tamera. Together, they have a devoted marriage and a delightful parenthood in raising their three wonderful children. Over time, their little children matured into very graceful parents with great grandchildren. Thomas and Tammy are presently living in the Gulf Shores area and enjoying their grandchildren and retirement and keeping close ties with family. Thomas is now taking his time in writing different books of interest. Thomas would like all the readers to enjoy his memorable visit to Sand Mountain, Alabama, and leave with you a humble heart and soul because—to him—you are family.
