Children with psychological disorders are able to benefit from behavioural therapy. Careful diagnostic clarification and treatment planning are prerequisites for successful therapy. The process, from initial contact with the child and parent/guardian to treatment planning, is described in this volume. In addition to a discussion of the theoretical principles of behavioural therapy and the current status of psychotherapeutic research on childhood and adolescence, practical advice is also provided on how to prepare therapy applications.
