Georg Essen, geb. 1961, ist Professor und Lehrstuhlinhaber des Lehrstuhls für Dogmatik und Dogmengeschichte an der Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultät an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Systematischen Theologie, der Theologiegeschichte und der Interkulturellen Theologie. Bei der WBG ist er Herausgeber des Bandes »Kant und die Theologie« (2005) sowie »Philosophisch theologische Streitsachen« (2012).
