Amu and the snake entertain the city, with the snake wriggling and twisting to Amu’s flute. As Amu becomes more and more popular, the snake grows more and more lonely. But when Amu’s luck runs out, he remembers the flute and his old friend.

Zhou You studied illustration at Nanjing University of the Arts and at Ontario University in Canada. She now teaches in the Department of Illustration at Nanjing University of the Arts.
Helen Wang translates Chinese children’s books into English. Her work includes Cao Wenxuan’s novels
Bronze and Sunflower and
Dragonfly Eyes.
