Sir William Robertson (1860–1933), nicknamed “Wully, ” was a British soldier. He served as Chief of the Imperial General Staff from 1916-1918 during World War I, and soon after was awarded baronetcy of Beaconsfield, in 1919. A Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath, Robertson also wrote Soldiers and Statesmen 1914–18.
