Azlan Razif is an artist, musician, and scholar. Human by Design is a science-fiction narrative constructed around drawings and paintings done in the years 1984-2014. His last book was the scholarly work, Islam Hadhari: Malay Civilization (2012). He holds a Ph.D. in Media Arts and Studies from Ohio University. He lives in Malaysia.
