Professor Steven Newman is a senior natural resource, climate change and climate finance consultant. He has undertaken over 122 major assignments in over 63 countries. The work included managing many multi-million-pound investments in agroforestry and nature-based solutions worldwide leading to the planting of over 10 million trees. He is MD of Bio Diversity International Ltd, Visiting Professor in the Agriculture Department Reading University and Fellow of the institute of welfare reform. He is part of Abacus Agriculture and is advising UK farms and estates on profitable nut tree agroforestry options. He is co-editor of the leading textbook on “temperate agroforestry systems” now in its second edition.
