Pippa is a cute little black and white puppy who wants to learn to play the ball game with Papa called Fetch. She watches Blue Dog play fetch every day but she is too little. One day she grows up and is able to hold the ball, but when she gets it she just runs off with it. She does not listen to Papa as he calls her. Soon, Papa will not play with Pippa if she does not listen to instructions so she can play the game properly. Pippa wanders everywhere else but does not bring the ball back to Papa. Blue dog tells her she must listen to Papa and learn to play the game properly or she will be not be allowed to play. This book is a great book to teach young children about listening to instructions.
