About the author
David A. de Silva (Ph D, Emory University) is Trustees' Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio. He is ordained in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church and has written numerous books, including An Introduction to the New Testament; Honor, Patronage, Kinship and Purity; and Sacramental Life: Spiritual Formation through the Book of Common Prayer.
