Franklin Benjamin Sanborn (1831-1917) was an American journalist, author, and reformer. He studied the social sciences at Harvard and had a particular interest in American transcendentalism; in fact, Sanborn wrote biographies of many of the movement’s most important figures, such as Emerson and Thoreau.
