Hina Haq was born in Jhelum, Pakistan, where she spent the first nineteen years of her life. She earned a B.A. in Economics and Statistics at the Federal Government College for Women in Islamabad. After immigrating to the United States in 1978, she received an M.B.A. from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 1987 and in 2001 was awarded her J.D. at the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. She is presently a Law Clerk to the Honorable Halie L. Alford in the Superior Court of Delaware. Ms. Haq lives outside Wilmington, Delaware, with her husband Muhammad. They had two sons and a daughter. This is her first novel.
