Maria-Luiza Caraivan is Associate Professor at „Tibiscus“ University, Timișoara, Romania. She has a BS in English, an MA in British and American Studies and a PhD in English Literature from the University of the West, Timișoara, Romania. Her main areas of interest are English literature, South African literature and culture, gender studies, language teaching, and the business environment. Her publications include Writing for Business and Comunicarea in Afaceri [Business Communication – a Course for University Students]. She has contributed to numerous literary journals and edited collections with articles and essays such as „Cultural Tourism: The Case of the Banat Region“, „South African Speculative Fiction“, „The Story of a South African Romance“, „“Every real story is a never ending story“: History and Politics in Children“s Novels“, and „Nadine Gordimer: Writing Beyond Apartheid“.
