Stephen A. Harris has been the Druce Curator of the Oxford University Herbaria since 1995 and a university research lecturer in the University of Oxford Department of Plant Sciences since 2002. He is the author of many books, including The Magnificent Flora Graeca; Grasses, also published by Reaktion Books; and, most recently, What Have Plants Ever Done for Us?
