Ralph, however, secretly departs contrary to his father’s orders and begins his explorations at Bourton Abbas, after which he goes through the Wood Perilous. During his explorations Ralph learns about the Well at the World’s End and so begins the quest that will lead him into numerous adventures and misadventures.
