Owen Wister (July 14, 1860 – July 21, 1938) was an American writer and historian, considered the ‚father‘ of western fiction. He is best remembered for writing The Virginian and a biography of Ulysses S. Grant.
Andy Adams (1859–1935) was one of the few writers of the West who had a knowledge based on experience that enabled him to record cowboy life authentically.
Clarence Edward Mulford (3 February 1883 – 10 May 1956) was the creator of the character Hopalong Cassidy.
