Zhan Wang obtained his doctorate from Saint Petersburg Technological Institute (Technical University) in 1995. He has been at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Beijing University of Technology, since 1995, and as a professor of chemical engineering since 2005. He was a visiting scholar with George Belfort, NAE member, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA, from 2009 to 2010. He acts as the leader of the expert group of China“s water technology in the 45th and 46th World Skills Competition. His current research focuses include membrane filtration flux prediction, membrane fouling and cleaning mechanisms exploration, membrane filtration process optimization, and anti-fouling membrane fabrication.
