Pradeep Chaturvedi, is a well-known Expert in the Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Sector. His expertise lies in project planning, implementation, and management with emphasis on technology transfer and skill building. Several pioneering projects and studies of national and international significance have been conducted under his guidance. He has planned, developed, and implemented projects in the Asia-Pacific region. At present, Mr. Chaturvedi is also working as a Consultant to FAO’s Regional Wood Energy Development Programme for Asia. He is the Vice Chairman of the World Renewable Energy Network supported by UNESCO and based in U.K. Being a founder of the Bio Energy Society of India, and now its Vice President he is involved in projecting the biofuels issue at national and international level. Mr. Chaturvedi is a Graduate in Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and the Recipient of FAO’s World Food Day Medal 1991. Mr. Chaturvedi has edited and authored 16 books related to sustainable development, renewable energy, and energy conservation: and has contributed papers at a number of national and international conferences. Dr. Shalini Joshi is a Project Officer at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies.
